"I'm a mom, singer, writer and survivor. Many of you may know me from the Destination America series "A Haunting" that chronicled some of my experience with the negative side of the paranormal. It showed the world some but not all of what my family and I endured as we fought to regain a normal, happy life in this world. Although it brought attention to my story, there is more that need to be told. I feel a powerful need to inform the uninformed and help the people who are afraid and alone. The unfortunate souls who may be going through the nightmare I had to face. I'd like to instill in these people that there is hope and light on the other side and that it is possible to survive and be happy again. I have always had a preoccupation with ghosts and all things para worldly at a very young age. I remember my first experience at the tender age of four when my sister and I woke in the dead of night to find my dead great grandmother sitting at the foot of our bed. She just sat and stared at us putting us into a panic. There were several other incidents in and around my home as I grew up. There were even accounts of Occult practice by a family member on the property unbeknownst to the adults. In my teenaged years I reluctantly was a part of some practices myself after my grandfather who lived with us passed suddenly. Things snowballed and activity manifested rapidly causing the home to seem to become sick. I left a few years after and tried to leave the feeling of evil and doom there. Since then the home has suffered death in and near it as well as a fire. I was asked to never return to that home by my father and have no intentions of doing so. I never could completely shake that negative and depressing feeling throughout my life and subsequent marriage which was marred with alcoholism and abuse at times. It ended in my husband taking his life. He seemed not to be himself and became dangerous prompting me to leave a few months beforehand. I know in my heart that it was the right thing to do. I also know that his intent was to take me with him. He begged me to come see him the night before he did it in a panic. Something in me was screaming not to. The next day he was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head. A few months later when I was renovating in my bedroom I found additional spent shell casings and some unfired rounds in the vent register directly beneath where he died. I know that one of those was meant for me which was tough to accept. I was overwhelmed with guilt and grief so severely that I could'nt imagine being happy. It was about a year after when I and Chasity began to have experiences. Now, I had three more children at the time but my oldest was gone and the other two were too young to be on the show. Activity progressively got worse leading up to me contacting Roswell Georgia Paranormal Investigators and beginning my real fight against evil. They retained evidence and proof that lead to Father Darren Simpson performing an exorcism on me in 2012. It helped me greatly, although the activity in my home still lingered. We sold and left, starting over in a new t own with high hopes. Until I was attacked in broad daylight that spring not long before I was contacted by the production company for the show. I was interviewed in the summer and the demon was ever present, during the eight hours of filming in the dark old warehouse. It lurked in the shadows and tried to mess up the filming equipment. It even attacked me as the camera rolled during the interview when Father Darren arrived. Needless to say It was back with a vengeance. I had to go through yet another exorcism in 2013 about a year after the first. Since them I have had some scary moments and felt lingering things but have been free for the most part. My faith in God is a huge factor and without it I would not have recovered. I now have the tools and strength to not only fight but help others who need it. I'm happy to say life is wonderful and I am so blessed. I know I will always be at risk and have to be careful and more diligent than most, but I live life with purpose and positivity. Hope is so important and my goal is to impart that hope to those in need. You can survive this and you CAN thrive and be happy. Real evil lives in this world, but so does real hope!"
